What is Maltego ID?
Maltego ID is the single unified login account for all your Maltego products and services, consisting of an email address and a password. You can use Maltego ID to log in and run the Maltego Community Edition as well as other products in the future. Maltego ID also ensures more secure access by enabling 2-factor authentication.
I am a new Maltego user. Do I have to create a Maltego ID if I want to use the Maltego Community Edition (CE)?
Yes, you have to create a Maltego ID in order to log in and use the Maltego Community Edition.
I already have a Maltego CE account. Do I need to create a new Maltego ID?
No, you can use your existing login credential to continue using the Maltego Community Edition. If you update your Maltego Desktop Client to v4.6.0 and future versions, you will be asked to log in with your existing credentials on the Maltego ID platform and will be able to enable our new Two-factor authentication feature.
I want to use Two-factor authentication for my existing Maltego CE account. How do I set this up?
Simply update the Maltego Desktop Client to version 4.6.0 or further and log in to Maltego CE again with your existing Maltego CE login credentials. Upon login, you will be invited to set up Two-factor authentication.
How is my data being stored or used?
I’m not receiving any confirmation or activation email after registering. What should I do?
