What is the difference between the Basic, Entry, Professional, and Enterprise plans?
Our plans differ based on investigators’ needs and provide different levels of capabilities and data access.
- Basic plans are free plans for enthusiasts who want to explore Maltego’s core and flagship features, or test more capabilities before moving to a higher tier.
- Entry plans are is designed for OSINT enthusiasts, including Hunchly users, who want to add Maltego’s flagship products to their toolkit.
- Professional plans are made for individual investigators or small teams in small and medium sized organizations who need more data and functionality for their daily work.
- Enterprise plans are for larger teams that need flexible options for data, tooling, training, and specific deployment requirements.

What data is included in each new plan?
Each new plan includes built-in data through Maltego Data Pass and Credits to spend on Data Pass modules. Maltego Data Pass gives you instant access to a curated set of trusted data sources without the need to manage vendor contracts, API keys, or custom integrations. Each plan also provides limited or unlimited access to Maltego Connectors. Connectors let you integrate external data sources by adding your own API keys. With 100+ pre built Connectors, you can bring data from trusted third party providers directly into Maltego Graph. If your organization already works with external data providers, Connectors help you make the most of those existing contracts. You can see which Connectors are available per plan here.
Each plan also provides limited or unlimited access to Maltego Connectors. Connectors let you integrate external data sources by adding your own API keys. What are Credits? How many Credits does each Transform use?
Maltego Credits are used to access data through Maltego Data Pass. Every new Maltego plan includes a monthly Credit allowance that you spend when running queries from trusted intelligence providers within Maltego.
The number of Credits required per query depends on the data source and the type of information you retrieve. This system helps you spend only on the data you actually need, whether for a quick check or a deep investigation.

Can I use my own APIs to access data?
Yes. With Maltego Connectors, you can integrate external data sources by adding your own API keys. There are more than 100 pre built Connectors that let you bring data from third party providers into Maltego Graph. If your organization already has contracts with data providers, Connectors help you leverage those existing relationships. You can see which Connectors are available per plan here.
Can multiple users access Maltego products with one license?
Licenses are not shared between users. Each user needs their own license for Maltego products. Only Maltego Search can be accessed by multiple users according to its specific terms. All other products require a dedicated seat per user.
Why can I not access some plans after failing vetting?
Maltego products are often used in high stakes investigations that involve sensitive data. For that reason, not all users can access all products, features, or data without passing vetting.
Vetting considers factors such as data provider restrictions and embargo lists that Maltego must comply with. If you believe you meet the requirements and should have passed the vetting process, please contact our support team so we can review your case.
