Maltego is a tool used globally by industry experts, analysts, and law enforcement agencies to help protect and watch-over their own infrastructure but also to keep guard on internet safety, reduce crime and catch bad guys.
Data integrations make Maltego a more valuable investigator tool. As an integration design specialist, you ensure that investigators can make use of a wide range of attractive data sources in the best possible way. You will ensure that users can seamlessly integrate Maltego into their workflow with other systems and that they get the most out of those data offers consuming them in a visual interface and being able to easily combine insights from a variety of sources within a single graph. You work closely together with internal and external developers as well as the integrations product management, UX researchers and subject matter experts.

As an integrations design specialist, you put yourself in the shoes of the investigator, research the offering of data providers APIs, understand use cases relevant to this source and can determine how to best investigate that data source visually with link analysis.

- Fully understanding the capability of external APIs
- Determining relevant pieces of this offering for Maltego
- Mapping API responses to Maltego's ontology
- Designing intuitive user flows to explore these APIs
- Designing integrations and aligning closely with integrations product management as well as internal and external developers
- Performing user acceptance testing
- Suggesting changes to Maltego's ontology
Your profile in short 🔗︎
- You have completed a university degree e.g. with a user experience focus
- You combine an “understanding” of Python with the passion for visualizing data
- You bring along an investigator mindset and have a good intuition how to pivot from one data point to another to build out an investigation
- You have gained first work experience in areas relevant to the role
- You have a structured style of working, are able to write down plans in advance and can execute them from A to Z
- You enjoy working in a small organization, communicating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and are eager to move things forward
- Fluency in English is required, German is a plus
